IMPORTANT INFORMATION - INVESTMENTS

This important information relates to many member’s accounts; their circumstances may be different from yours. If you are in doubt about whether or not a particular provision applies to you or if you simply would like further information, please call us on 0800 WHAI RAWA (0800 942 472).

It is important for you to consider your own personal financial circumstances, objectives and needs (your needs). We do not consider your needs. If you would like someone to help consider your needs before you change your investment strategy you should speak with a financial adviser. Before making a change to your investment strategy you should read the details of each investment option involved carefully - this can be done by simply clicking on the name of the investment option. Over time, unit prices for different investment options rise and fall at different rates resulting in the proportion of your current balance in each option changing.

It is important to consider the following before your request:
• Time to Process Your Request;
• Fees and Charges; and
• Confirmation of your request

Investment Choice

You can only select one investment option at any one time, whereby 100% of your current balance and 100% of future contributions will be directed to your chosen option.

Time to Process Your Request

If we receive a valid instruction from you before 4:30pm on a business day (NZ time) we will process your investment switch using the declared unit prices for that day, once known. If we receive your investment switch request after 4:30pm on a business day (NZ time), we will process your switch effective the following business day (and it will be processed using the following business day's declared unit prices). If you submit multiple investment switch transactions (in the previous 24 hours prior to 4:30pm on a business day (NZ time) it may take up to 48 hours for unit prices to be calculated and loaded to the administration system, and your switch request will not be physically processed until that time). Only the most recent switch will be processed. Unit prices are not calculated for weekends or public holidays.

Fees and Charges

There are no fees charged for changing your investment strategy.

Confirmation of your request

Your transaction will only be processed if you have received a Receipt Number. If you tried to do an investment switch but you haven't received a Receipt Number (and wish to make an investment switch), please call the Helpline on 0800 WHAI RAWA (0800 942 472).

Your investment switch will become effective once it has been processed by Mercer. You should receive a Confirmation Advice of your investment strategy change by email or post.

Your investment change request will only be applied to the account you are currently logged into. If you manage accounts for other, for example children, you will need to submit a separate request for each account. You can access your other accounts (if applicable) from the navigation.

Your change will not be visible on this site until it is processed by Mercer.

You agree that where we have your email you:

• acknowledge that your email will be used to send you confirmation of this transaction once your request has been processed. You also agree that we may use these details in the future to send you information concerning your investments electronically (unless you have otherwise told Whai Rawa not to).

• acknowledge if your email bounces, you will be issued with a paper-based confirmation letter and that the email address recorded for your account will be removed. If this occurs, you will be prompted to provide an updated email the next time you log in to your account.

By submitting a request to change your investment strategy, you understand and consent to your information being collected, disclosed and used in the manner set out in the Privacy Policy.
